Dominique Mouillot's professional career
After preparatory classes for entrance to the chemical engineering school at the Lycée Saint-Louis, in Paris, Dominique Mouillot graduated as a chemical engineer in 1975.
Her professional career then began as a research engineer at the CEA (Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique, Atomic Energy Commission), where she carried out several studies on fuel recycling chemistry and the technical development of sealed sources.
She then became Sales and Marketing Manager, and Product Manager in French and foreign companies (American and German) specialising in nuclear measurements systems.
In 1996, she joined the ONET Group. In 2006, she became a member of the Group's executive board.
She became aware of security, radio protection and sub-contracting problems very soon. From 1998 to 2007 she was the chairwoman of COPSAR (Comité Professionnel des Prestataires de Services en matière d'Assainissement Radioactif, Professional Committee for the Suppliers of Radioactive Cleaning Services). The main mission of COPSAR is to optimise the returns on experience for companies working with EDF.
In April 2006, she became Chairwoman of WIN France (Women In Nuclear), an association that forms part of the SFEN (Soviété Française d'Energie Nucléaire, French Society for Nuclear Energy). She was also elected as a Member of the Executive Committee of WIN Global, which held its annual international conference in 2009 in Washington.
« Above all, I would like these nominations to be useful for providing better knowledge of the benefits of nuclear energy for the general public, however, I also hope that they will be useful for ONET TECHNOLOGIES, even if just for the image they provide. WIN France has launched a 3 year plan in which professional action and the employment of young people are a priority. »
As a woman and Chairwoman of WIN France, Dominique MOUILLOT has been involved in the promotion of nuclear careers to young students for many years. As she is also very concerned about the employment problems of qualified young people, she has developed numerous partnerships with universities and colleges. With their collaboration she organises «career» forums and advice on recruitment interviews, together with training courses in companies.
She is convinced that competence alone makes all the difference, and recommends that young women beginning their careers are true professionals above all.
«The company today needs to diversify its talents. Diversification is a source of enrichment for all of us, both men and women ».
She has been working at the Management Committee of the GIIN (Groupe Intersyndical de l'Industrie Nucléaire, Interunion Group for the Nuclear Industry) since her appointment in January 2007, and she wants to participate in work with professional organisations and companies to give the nuclear professions the merit they deserve, and to provide forceful suggestions when asked to by the ministries concerned.
In 2009, Dominique Mouillot was appointed as a government adviser on French Overseas Trade. As men and women working for companies who have been chosen for their competence and international experience, the GAFOTs are nominated for 3 years by order of the Prime Minister on proposal by the Minister for Overseas Trade.
